In the context of permanent changes in the electricity sector and improvements made in the increasingly demanding quality of service indices, Live-line Works (LLW) are becoming more commonplace and demanding.
SEMI has 18 live-line works teams, trained at its own training school. They all have a wide variety of vehicles adapted for live-line works of up to 550 kV.
This activity is performed on the high- and very high-voltage lines in the transmission lines and includes cleaning and insulation replacements, as well as the laying of fibre optic lines and structural modifications. Some of these tasks fall within the scope of works carried out by potential methods.
The electrical distribution management activities make the execution of live-line maintenance works necessary. SEMI actively intervenes in these tasks with its own staff trained in remote and potential methods.
This activity is aimed at maintaining and replacing equipment in substations currently in operation
